Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things

The documentary is about how might your life be better with less. In the documentary, the two main characters Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus (the minimalists). The movie follows Joshua and Ryan as they crossed the country a couple years ago promoting their book “All That Remains.” In between the trip there are interviews with the two men about how they went from stressed out, consumer-crazed corporate businessmen to hug giving minimalists who live only of the important things and don’t consume too much.

Political Tensions Rise with New Funding Given to NASA to Explore Exoplanet

News that a new exoplanet within reach of humans within a few hundred years has rocked society. With the new US budget increasing the funding of NASA drastically from $649 million to $1.2 billion has caused numerous groups to question the motives behind the US government. Many people are questioning why so much money has been cut from welfare such as youth homelessness and the disabled pension to fund this new venture.

NASA has said that the new boost in funding will allow them to engineer intergalactic starships that will allow humans to travel and colonise the ‘new earth’.

Innocent is not so innocent anymore

Innocent, a former British brand which produces “healthy and natural” drinks has lost its name giving innocence. A couple of years ago, 90% of the company’s shares got bought up by the major beverage producer The Coca Cola Company. This now raises the question, if Innocent can still carry on with their brand promise without being influenced by the corporates heads at Coca Cola. It wouldn’t be the first time that Coca Cola bought up a successful, small business and changed their proven formula in order to cut costs and maximize profits while sacrificing the brand image.
