Für ein ausgeglichenes Leben hat die Wissenschaftlerin Frigga Haug vier Bereiche festgelegt, welche den gleichen zeitlichen Umfang haben sollen. Diese Bereiche sind: Erwerb, Sorge, Kultur und Politik.
Für diese Teile, so rät Frau Haug, sollten vier Stunden pro Tag zur Verfügung stehen, um ein möglichst ausgeglichenes und erfülltes Leben zu führen.
