Whistleblowing: Wanna be a Hero?

Who’s the hero? President Barack Obama or Edward Snowden? A short brainstorm. Image if someone you don’t know have a list of all your phone calls inclusive duration and frequency, maybe also the GPS position when you were calling someone, a summary of all your messages you wrote, all the timestamps you used any social media network or even have access to the microphone or camera of your smartphone at night? Isn’t it frightening? Isn’t it alarming that this is reality?

DILEMMAS IN LIFE

The author has different take on the values represented in our society. In the book, the author has written about a lot of theories. According to the Divine Command Theory, the resolution of the dilemmas is based upon religious beliefs. Ethical dilemmas are resolved according to tenets of faith, such as the Ten Commandments for the Jewish and  Christian faiths. Central to this theory is that decisions in ethical dilemmas are made on the basis of guidance from a divine being.

Das Buch „Grundlagen der Unternehmensethik“ von Horst Steinmann und Albert Löhr behandelt das Thema Ethik in Unternehmen. Dabei wird herausgearbeitet welche verschiedenen Ethik-Ansätze es in Unternehmen geben kann und wie Ethik in einem Unternehmen und den unterschiedlichen Unternehmensbereichen angewandt werden.

Was mir jedoch besonders gefallen hat sind die Beispiele von Ethik aus der Praxis.

Facts.For.Change – Bewusstsein schaffen für den Klimawandel

Gewisse (negative) Veränderungen auf unserem Planeten passieren nicht aus natürlicher Entwicklung, sondern können wissenschaftlich auf menschliche Verhaltensweisen zurückgeführt werden. Eine junge Generation muss auf das Thema sensibilisiert werden, um ein allgemeines Verantwortungsbewusstsein zum Klimawandel zu schaffen. FFC richtet sich an eine junge Zielgruppe im Alter 16-30 Jahre.
